Say Hi to Dozer, our new Australian Shepherd puppy. He's 14 weeks old, and we picked him up last night!
We're training him by crating him and so far it is working really well. After six days in the pet store he is understandably nervous about going into the crate, but he'll soon learn that we're not leaving him!
He's gorgeous, and very well behaved. Last night he slept from 10pm to 5:30am with no whining and no "accidents".
I let him out and he went and did his business perfectly! We've only had a couple of very small mistakes.

Poor Dozer didn't last long I'm afraid. I was concerned from the beginning by how lethargic he was, and after a few trips to the vet and some tests he was diagnosed with kidney failure.
This is quite rare apparently, but explains his non-puppy-like behavour. We all said goodbye to him this afternoon. He will be sorely missed by us all.

Rest in peace Dozer.
