City Names Fire Station for Chief
The City of Roswell will honor its fire chief, Neal Butterworth, by naming Fire Station 7 and the East Roswell Police Precinct located at 8025 Holcomb Bridge Road after the long-time employee. The ceremony will take place at the fire station on Thursday, May 13, 2004 at 11:00 a.m.
Chief Butterworth began working for the City as a volunteer firefighter in 1973. He rose through the ranks to become a fire inspector in 1982 and was named the department’s chief in July 1991.
The Council voted unanimously at a special called meeting Friday, May 7 to honor Chief Butterworth by naming the station after him.
