Pastors Mirek and Linda Hufton started World Harvest Church in Roswell, Georgia
during the fall of 1991, by a direct call of God. In the early days, both co-founders held second jobs in order to carry out the vision and meet the church’s financial obligations. However, as a result of generous donations and offerings, they were able to devote themselves to fulltime ministry.

World Harvest Church was originally located at the Montessori School in Roswell and began with eight members. As the congregation grew, a larger meeting space was needed so the church moved to Norcross Street in Roswell. Due to the growth, several major ministries were added which included StreetReach (a community program for children) and Angel Food (a church and community food cooperative program).

As growth continued, the next location that the church moved to was the Roswell Fiesta Shopping Center on Alpharetta Highway in Roswell. During that time, additional ministries were added which included (1.) The Bible Institute (a college credit Bible school training program). (2.) Life Focus Ministry (adult discipleship classes) and (3.) The Van Ministry (Community Transportation).

World Harvest Church continued to grow and membership reached approximately 300. We had become very involved and well known within the Roswell, Alpharetta and upper Dunwoody communities. From the outset, World Harvest Church’s vision was to be a church to all nations, where there is open acceptance of each individual for who they are as a person, and not on race or cultural background. As a consequence, today the church is truly racially and culturally diverse including a mixture of Caucasians, African Americans and Hispanics, as well as international members from Nigeria, Kenya, Ghana, Liberia, South Africa, Central America, South America, Guatemala, Yayana, Mexico, Uruguay, Jamaica, Haiti, Puerto Rico and India.

World Harvest Church eventually outgrew the Roswell Fiesta Shopping Center and began building a church in Roswell. Our new building was dedicated Sunday, April 29, 2001 and is located at 320 Hardscrabble Road in Roswell.
