36th Annual Roswell Arts Festival

Sporadic rain didn't dampen the Arts Festival too much this year - my family and I enjoyed it at least.
There seemed to be far more exhibitors here this year, and I'm continually amazed how far some of them come: Florida and North Carolina were common, but I also saw Alabama and Missouri!
Local artists living here in Roswell included Catherine Tittel with her Fish Schticks, Sandra Sweatt with SSS SilverWear, Shirley Filardi with her Floral Shell Art (very nice), Jim Wilshire with his watercolors, Erika Dupuis (Erika Blue) with watercolors, Laila Hoehamer with pictures in various materials, Darla Pelton-Perez with lovely jewelry, Darcy Stocker with her clever laminated paper belts and bags and Jay West's fine opal jewelry.
Many different acts performed each hour over the weekend, and the kids were kept busy with free coloring and balloon animals.
Tara and I could spend a fortune at this event - there are so many beautiful paintings and other arts and crafts. Luckily we normally restrain ourselves to just the "must-haves", but it's hard.
Many thanks to the hard-working committee who as always produced a great event. If you didn't go, make sure you come next year. There really is something for everybody, and it's free to all.
All money raised goes to the Roswell Recreation and Parks Department- over $500,000 has been donated during the last 36 years.
